Built for Restaurants.
Trusted by Operators.
We're a Toronto-based low-voltage contractor specializing in high-volume, high-expectation hospitality environments. Our reputation is built entirely on results — long-term relationships with operators who trust us to deliver systems that perform, day in and day out.
The GTA's restaurants
run on our systems
When a restaurant opens in Toronto — and it needs to sound incredible, look secure, and run flawlessly on day one — they call us. We've been the first call for some of the most recognized hospitality names in the country.
We don't just install. We design systems that your staff understand, your guests never notice, and your future self thanks you for.
Our work is 100% referral-driven.
The GTA's most trusted
hospitality tech team
The 192 Group was founded on a simple belief: restaurants deserve technology that actually works — not just on install day, but every service, every night, for years to come.
Founded in 2012, The 192 Group grew out of Corry's background in live event sound and concert touring into a full-service hospitality technology company. Today we design and install sound, video, data infrastructure, security cameras, and door access systems for some of the most recognized restaurant and hotel names in Canada.
Our business has never needed advertising. Every client we've ever had came through a referral or came back for a second project. That's the standard we hold ourselves to.
A system should be simple to use, consistent in performance, and built to last — not just during install, but every night of service.
Three things we never
compromise on
Systems your staff can operate without training or frustration. No complicated interfaces, no guessing. Walk in, turn it on, it works.
Even coverage, comfortable conversations — sound that enhances the atmosphere without overpowering.
Designed for long-term reliability in high-traffic, high-demand environments. We don't cut corners at the design stage — that's where problems start. We factor in service from the start.
Built for construction
environments
We work closely with other consultants, interior designers, general contractors, and other trades to keep projects coordinated and on schedule. Our installations adhere to industry standards — clean, safe, and aligned with your construction timeline.
When adjustments are needed in the field — and they always are — we collaborate, find solutions and communicate clearly to resolve issues quickly. No surprises, no delays, no excuses.
We understand the pressure of opening timelines, coordinated trades, and high expectations. Our systems are designed and delivered to perform reliably from day one.
Simple, straightforward
from first call to opening night
We make the process easy so you can focus on opening your restaurant — not managing your tech contractor.
We visit your space, understand your needs, and talk through what the right system looks like for your concept.
We design a system tailored to your layout, service style, and budget — with proper zoning and coverage from the start.
Clean, efficient installation coordinated with your other trades — on time and aligned with your construction schedule.
We don't disappear after install. We're your long-term partner for adjustments, expansions, and whatever comes next.
Everything your restaurant needs
to run and sound its best
We handle the four systems that every modern GTA restaurant depends on — designed together, installed by one team.
Small team.
Serious experience.
We're a tight-knit group of specialists — every project gets direct attention from the people who actually do the work.
Corry McGibbon
Corry studied Audio Engineering at Recording Arts Canada, where he quickly developed a passion for live sound. He went on to train as a certified L-Acoustics engineer working on large-scale productions spanning both music and corporate environments touring across North America with V-DOSC systems.
This trajectory led to his role as project leader for Ontario House at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics — a d&b audiotechnik-featured installation internationally recognized for its technical excellence. It's in these high-pressure environments, where systems must perform flawlessly every time, that Corry developed the standard he brings to every project today.
His philosophy is simple: a venue like Nobu is more than a restaurant — it's an experience, and the sound must reflect that. Music is treated as an essential design element, carefully curated alongside lighting, décor, and cuisine. This approach carries through whether he's designing for a 278-seat Toronto supper club or restoring the sonic integrity of a heritage-listed landmark in Miami.
Corry remains personally involved at every stage of a project, from the initial site visit through to final commissioning, ensuring consistency and precision throughout.
His work has been featured multiple times by leading audio manufacturers as international case studies, including the 2010 Winter Olympics, Nobu Toronto, and The Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club in Miami. Recognition at this level is rare — and in Corry's case, it has been earned entirely through referrals and results.
In addition to his project work, Corry serves as Technical Director for BELLOSOUND, a boutique global music consultancy, where he leads technical strategy for luxury hospitality installations worldwide.
Tom studied theatre production, where he developed a deep understanding of technical systems in live performance environments. He began his career working in theatres in Peterborough before expanding into a wide range of live event settings — from restaurants and nightclubs to large-scale arena productions, including time spent touring with major music acts. Those early experiences shaped his instinct for precision, adaptability, and the kind of problem-solving that only comes from environments where there are no second chances. He later transitioned into AV installation, where he and Corry first crossed paths — recognizing a shared standard for execution and system performance. Today, Tom brings over 20 years of hands-on experience across lighting, sound, and automation, with a focus on delivering systems that are technically sound and built to perform under real-world conditions. Known for his calm, methodical approach and a "show must go on" mentality, Tom understands that technical performance is central to the overall guest experience. He is a steady, reliable presence on every project — from fast-paced job sites through to final commissioning. He met his wife while running technical systems at one of Toronto's top nightclubs — very much in his element — and when he's not on a job site, he's spending time with his dog Louie.
Before joining The 192 Group, Alec co-owned Tennessee Tavern — one of Parkdale's most beloved neighbourhood spots, known for its live music, Eastern European menu, and eclectic atmosphere. That firsthand experience running a busy restaurant gives him a unique perspective on how technology fits into the real demands of hospitality service. When he's not on a job site, Alec releases music under his own name — a producer and songwriter whose ear for sound translates directly into the care he brings to every installation.
Behind every project is a trusted network of manufacturers, suppliers, technicians, and trade partners that we have worked alongside for years. Small enough to be personal. Experienced enough to handle anything.
